COMPANY/JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are a medium sized Electrical Contractor located in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania that has been in business for over 40 years. We service the Industrial and Commercial Industry’s. We are looking for a PLC Programmer/Electrical Service Technician to join our growing Company.

POSITION:

This PLC Programmer/Electrical Service & Design Technician position will be responsible for designing, programming and implementing automation and control systems including electrical schematics, PLC ladder logic, HMI’s and Drives.

The Technician will need to be able to troubleshoot PLC programs as well as not being afraid to be hands on.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Trade School Certification
5 Years in a manufacturing or panel building environment
Experience with PLC programming using RSLogix500 and RSLogix5000
HMI programming using RS View and Wonderware
Variable frequency drives, analog process control, strong computer skills a must
Must be able to design and draw electrical schematics using AutoCad
Knowledge of Electrical & Electronic Systems
Excellent communication Skills
Must be willing to travel and work as many hours as needed to meet start up and project deadlines
Must be able to work with limited direction in a team environment.
Develop electrical controls by researching, analyzing, selecting, and applying electric controls concepts, approaches, techniques and criteria including panel layouts, control systems and Operator Interface Terminals (OITs)
Implements electrical controls design by providing installation, start-up, and technical support
Troubleshoot and resolving production problems related to electrical controls engineering design.
Ability to program AC/DC Drive System using PLC’s.
Ability to develop and evaluate new electrical controls, prepare layout drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Collaborate with related engineering design teams on a project.
Evaluate components, materials, and suppliers for a project
Identify and resolve design integration/interface issues
Determine and establish design specifications for safety standards
